Built in 1969 by Carlyle Construction Corp, this brown-brick, 31-story building, known as Carlton Towers, contains four apartments per floor for a total of 124 units.

Since the 60’s the Carlton Towers has seen a surplus of luxury towers built around the building.  Similar buildings in the neighborhood include the Bristol, the Royale, the Phoenix and of course Carlton Towers sister building, Regency Towers located 245 east 63^rd street.

On the ground floor of the building is a landscaped garden surrounded by the buildings setbacks.  Most of the apartments in the building face this garden or they face Second Avenue and have terraces.

Building amenities include: a concierge, a doorman, a garage, and a gym.  The area offers many boutiques and restaurants and the convenience of midtown east only a couple blocks away.  Hot & Crusty is located on the ground floor of this building, off Second Avenue.
